when these days are over

when these days are over,
I would gladly take notice of your past smiles,
the sound of your laughter that only angels can hear,
and divulge myself into this pain.

it’s like chasing butterflies on a rainy day
with the warmth of earth
closely knitted to our hearts
eventually leads me nowhere but to my knees
praying for these days to come back again.

when these days are over,
I would once again recall the stories that I told you
and filter some of my lies
among the truths of my active sun
toward nothingness; or the infinite possibility of
holding you
within the realms of that better place.

when these days are over,
may these words comfort my loneliness
and reach your bright eyes over the dark hazy sky
to feel your nearness,
to measure your love,
to keep you close beneath the beauty of this world
… and forever be mine.
